What type of online help is available? Simimica© Process Simulators include an on-line, context sensitive User's Manual. In addition, the Simimica CTL© User's manual includes a detailed, fifteen problem tutorial. The Simimica CRYOBAL Steam Plant Cycle©; User's manual includes a detailed, ten problem tutorial that emphasizes power plant steam cycles and evaporator processes. What about example problems? Simimica MB© and Simimica CTL© software packages include folders of over twenty additional example problems demonstrating steady state simulation, time varying simulation, control loop analysis, transfer function solution, chemical process control, electrical and mechanical system analysis, as well as solution to systems of ordinary differential equations. These example problems can be used as templates for creating new problems. Why a material balance for Simimica MB© and Simimica CTL©? All process simulators, no matter how expensive, must satisfy a material balance, and in many cases, a material balance is sufficient to describe the process. This is particularly true for constant property process conditions. You will find that Simimica MB© and Simimica CTL© are sufficient for most simulations and that combinations of Simimica© process simulation functions will model most unit operations. The example problems provided with Simimica© products demonstrate these process simulation principles. Because Simimica CTL© solves systems of linear differential equations, it can also be applied to the solution of dynamic electrical and mechanical systems. The Simimica© tutorial includes dynamic electrical and mechanical examples. Will Ae-S be offering other simulator products in the future? Simimica MB©, Simimica CTL©, and Simimica CRYOBAL Steam Plant Cycle© are prototypical of a series of simple low cost simulators that will be offered by Ae-S. Other simulator products planned include Simimica CRYOBAL©, a single component, steady state, heat and material balance simulator for refrigerants and cryogenic fluids, and Simimica HMB©, a steady state, multicomponent heat and material balance simulator. Will Ae-S Develop Custom Engineering Software? Sometimes a company needs to regularly analyze engineering or process data but do not have software that is specific enough to facilitate analysis. Ae-S can contract to develop a PC-based engineering data analysis program on a WindowsTM platform that will perform data processing and analysis tasks specific to your company's needs.
