Demonstration Program Download Page

Complimentary demonstration versions of Simimica CRYOBAL© and Simimica CRYOBAL Steam Plant Cycle© may be downloaded following the instructions given below.  The demonstration version of Simimica CRYOBAL© includes all programming features, but data base access is limited to refrigerant R-12 (dichlorodifluoromethane).  Most of the refrigeration process example problems are functional.  The demonstration version of Simimica CRYOBAL Steam Plant Cycle© also includes all programming features but allows only a limited number of simulation calculations.  All the example problems are functional.

Download the following file to a folder of your choice:

Cryobaldemozip.exe contains the application, help files, example problems, and the thermodynamic data base.

Run cryobaldemozip.exe, and follow the instructions.  Program files will be copied to default folder, c:\cryobaldemo, and example problems will be copied to default folder, c:\cryobaldemo\problems.

To Start
  1. Access cryobaldemo.exe in the installation folder (default: c:\cryobaldemo).
  2. Run or double click on cryobaldemo.exe.
  3. Online Help documentation serves as the user’s manual.
  4. Click on "Help Topics" in the Help menu.
  5. The topic, "Introduction", will get you started.
  6. Also, before you make any calculations, you will have to read and implement the Help topic, "Connecting the Thermodynamic Database," which gives detailed instructions on how to connect the thermodynamic database file, ThermodynamicData.mdb, to the application using the ODBC Data Source Administrator.  The ODBC Data Source Administrator can be found on your computer's Control Panel.  The default location of thermodynamicData.mdb is folder c:\cryobaldemo.
